Babies, toddlers, children and teenagers are not just the future – they are the present. And the good news of Jesus is for them right now.

Kids’ church happens on 1st, 2nd, 3rd (and 5th) Sundays each month in the building. On the 4th Sunday, 30th July and Sundays in August, children stay in the main service with their families and have lots of activities linked to the service to help them listen and join in. We also have a crèche room set up for any under 3s and their parents who need it during the service!

We place a high premium on teaching all ages about Jesus from the Bible. We want them all to know and love him, to be disciples of him and so to spread the good news about him.

We have a mix of all-together services in the church building and some weeks when we have groups specifically for different age groups. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd (and 5th) Sundays each month in term time we divide into groups and while the big people are being taught from the sermon and songs, we move into smaller groups to do the same. We follow the same sermon series throughout the church, and so often tackle big issues from a young age.

We divide groups up, as schools do, to primary school aged Kids’ Church (0-11) and secondary education aged youth groups (11-18). Here you’ll find information for what happens in Kids’ Church. All groups are run by trained members of our congregation, and all have DBS clearance and training.

The 4th Sunday in every month is usually a more informal all-age service, where everyone learns together. All school aged children are very welcome at our annual, excellent Holiday Club. Please do speak to Ruth Clarke about anything as we’d love to help you and your family grow in your knowledge and love of Jesus.

Scramblers

Scramblers is a crèche where little ones are safe to play, roam and hear a story from the Bible. This is available from the beginning of the morning service, all year round.

Explorers

After the first 15 minutes in the morning service with everyone, Explorers take a seat on special mats in the Colleton Room. Explorers love learning about Jesus in a variety of ways. Using their hands, mouths and ears, these little ones learn about their big God and lay firm foundations for years to come.
