1. Sunday Parking info: FREE PARKING ON SUNDAYS AT COUNTY HALL, EX2 4QD (10 mins walk along Topsham Road). Parking at the Church is for the elderly and infirm only. The Academy for the Deaf kindly let us use their front car park on Sundays , please keep to the marked spaces. 
  2. Christmas Carol Service choir: Calling all enthusiastic and tuneful singers! (Carol Service, 6.30pm 16 Dec). Rehearsals 12, 19, 26 Nov, 3, 10 Dec, 7.30 -9pm in church. Sign up at back of church.
  3. Bible Overview: Three Tuesday evenings, 7.45—9.00pm in the church centre. 13, 20 & 27 Nov.
  4. Shoebox Warehouse:  The Blythswood Care shoebox warehouse is at the Alphington Community Centre, Church Road, Alphington, EX2 2TA.  Open from Thu 15 Nov—Wed 21 Nov, 10am-4.30pm, Sat 17 Nov10am-1pm. All volunteers welcome to assist sort and check the shoeboxes.
  5. Blythswood Care shoeboxes; Please remember to bring your gift-filled shoeboxes to the morning services on Sun 18 Nov. The boxes will then commence their journey with our prayers to needy people in Romania. A big thank-you to all who are helping in the project.
  6. Devon Bible Conference Sat 17 Nov, at church. Coffee and registration from 10am. Please bring a packed lunch. Cost £5, booking required.   7. Tearfund Big Quiz – 17 Nov 7:00 – 9:30, Church Centre – Take part in  this national event in which around 1,000 churches are participating. Sign up today! As a team, or simply put down your name and we will put you together in a team, sheet at the back of church. If you’d like to invite friends, family, colleagues then please do. Fliers in the foyer. Recommended donation, £5 to Tearfund to take part. Helpers also needed for welcoming, clearing up etc. Contact Neil Warren. 
  8. Faith in Kids: Calling all helpers of Sunday and mid week crèches, Toddler Group and Diggers. A fantastic opportunity to hear Ed Drew (Kid’s worker for 10 or so years before setting up faithinkids.org) speak on the subject of pre-school ministry and how to teach the bible to pre-schoolers. Wed 21 Nov, 7.30pm at church. We are hosting so get to go for free!   9. Roberts Road Hall: Update following the sale of the hall in the church centre, 4.30pm Sun 25 Nov. Some information will be available beforehand and questions can be taken at the meeting.
  10. Magdalen Road Christmas Fair: This year we are having a stand at the Magdalen Road Christmas Fair, making Christingles, chatting and inviting folk to our Christmas services and events. The Fair is 2-6pm, Sat 1 Dec. If you could give two hours to help between 1pm and 7pm on the day please let Mel know mel.mullen@stleonards.church saying which time slot (1-3, 3-5 or 5-7).
  11. ECU Carol Service at St James Park Football Ground, 7pm Mon 3 Dec. If you can donate shop bought mince pies for this event please bring them to church on Sun 25 Nov or Sun 2 Dec. (Please choose a pack with as long a date as possible so any left overs can be passed on!) Stewards for the event are needed to free up students to bring along their friends. Angel Tree:  Many of you know that St Leonard is the Patron Saint of prisoners, so it is apt for our church to support this scheme. Last year your contributions helped buy and send 94 presents on behalf of 56 fathers in Exeter prison.
