We welcome all students, from those wanting to investigate Christianity for the first time to students wanting to live for Jesus at University.

Our aim in short is:

• to live for Christ

• to make Him known

St. Leonard’s is dedicated to students and we take this role and the opportunities seriously. University can be an exciting and challenging time and we aim to help you think things through for yourself: to explore the Christian faith for the first time or strengthen a true faith in Jesus Christ. We believe this is done primarily through God’s Word, the Bible and we hope you will go on and serve Jesus in life after University.

Our student team would love to hear from you and we want to make you feel welcome and help you settle in to University life. Email us (student-team@stleonards.church) if you have any questions, would like more info or just to say hi – We would love to be able to look out for you at church or CU at the beginning of term.

Sunday services

  • 9.15am, 11.00am, 6.30pm

We have three services each Sunday: 9.15am, 11.00am and 6.30pm. You are very welcome at any service when we hear from God’s Word and sing and pray together. In the morning there is an opportunity to get involved with the wider church family by helping out in the youth and children’s groups.

  • 7.30pm
  • Church Centre

Our student meeting on a Thursday evening in the church centre. We all meet at 7.30pm for a lovely meal and a chance to get to know each other better. We have a talk, followed by bible study in small groups and a chance to pray together. FOCUS is a wonderful way to be challenged by God’s word and encouraged to live for Him at University. Check the Calendar for exact dates.

Student Getaway

  • February 8–10
  • The depths of Somerset!

Our annual weekend away (February 8th-10th) in the depths of Somerset. It offers us a chance to grow friendships and make new ones. We will hear a series of talks and seminars as well as have free time to explore the idyllic surrounding countryside.

This is an opportunity to regularly meet up with an older Christian at St. Leonard’s to read the Bible, pray and encourage each other.
