We welcome all students, from those wanting to investigate Christianity for the first time to students wanting to live for Jesus at University.
Our aim in short is:
• to live for Christ
• to make Him known
St Leonard’s is dedicated to students and we take this role seriously. University can be an exciting and challenging time and we aim to help you make the most of the opportunities. You may arrive in Exeter as a Christian wanting to live for Jesus at university, or you may be exploring the Christian faith for the first time. Whoever you are, we’re here to help you get to grips with God’s word, the Bible, live in light of it, and be equipped to go on trusting and serving Jesus for a lifetime after University.
Our student team would love to hear from you and we want to make you feel welcome and help you settle in to University life. Email us (student-team@stleonards.church) if you have any questions, would like more info or just to say hi — we would love to be able to look out for you at church or CU at the beginning of term.

Sunday services
- 10.30am & 6:30pm
- Church
We have two services each Sunday: 10:30am and 6:30pm. You are very welcome at any service: we will hear from God’s Word, pray together and sing hymns and songs. In the morning there is usually the opportunity to get involved with the wider church family by helping out in the youth and children’s groups.
FOCUS
- Thursday at 7pm
- Church
We meet at 7pm at church; there is a meal together, a short talk, and time to study the Bible in small groups. Focus is a wonderful way to be challenged by God’s word and encouraged to live for him at University. Check the calendar for exact dates.
Student Getaway
- 19-21 January 2024
- The depths of Somerset!
Our annual weekend away is usually in second term and it offers us a chance to grow friendships and make new ones. We hear a series of Bible talks and seminars as well as have free time to explore the idyllic surrounding countryside.
One2One
This is an opportunity to regularly meet up with an older Christian at St Leonard’s to read the Bible, pray and encourage each other. Let the student team know if you are interested.
